17hats Pricing and 17hats Alternatives for Coaches and Consultants
Choosing a 17hats alternative starts with the work you want to change. A consultant who needs quotes, signed contracts and invoices has a different shopping list from a coach who already has billing covered and wants better discovery calls. The subscription headline alone does not settle either decision. This comparison uses 17hats pricing read on 23 October 2026, HoneyBook and Dubsado pricing read on 15 October 2026, and Paperbell pricing read on 13 October 2026. It separates booking costs from the back office, explains the conflicting plan information on the 17hats page, and shows where Consultations can replace the intake step or work alongside it.

In short
17hats costs $60 a month, $600 a year or $800 for two years, with online scheduling that creates Zoom links sold as a $10 monthly add-on. A coach who needs that booking setup pays $70 a month, or $720 a year on annual billing, before the current first-year promotion. Its pricing page mixes one headline plan with an older three-column feature grid, so confirm the applicable limits in writing. Consultations starts at $49 a month or $288 a year for intake, qualification and booking, but does not replace proposals, contracts, invoicing or payments.
17hats wins when you want an all in one back office for quotes, contracts, invoices and bookkeeping, with a $60 monthly base price and separate add-ons. Consultations focuses on intake, qualification and booking. An AI conversation on your website asks your qualifying questions, follows up on vague answers, scores responses against your criteria and books qualified prospects into the calendar you already use. A short brief gives you context before the call. That makes it an alternative to the lead form and booking link part of 17hats, rather than the whole suite. If contracts and invoices already work, keep that process and evaluate the intake purchase on its own.

A fair look at what each does well. Both are capable tools. Here is where they differ.
| What matters | Consultations | 17hats |
|---|---|---|
| Starting subscription | Solo is $49 a month or $288 a year for 1 professional | Paid plan is $60 a month, $600 a year or $800 for two years |

| Lead qualification | A conversation follows up on vague answers and scores against your criteria | Questionnaires evaluate leads; lead forms can trigger to-do workflows |
| Contracts, invoicing and payments | Not included; keep your existing back office | E-signature contracts, quotes, invoices and Stripe or Square payments |
| Team pricing | Flat per firm; Practice covers up to 5 professionals for $129 a month | 3 users included; additional users cost $5 a month each |
| Context before a call | A prepped brief summarizes the intake conversation | Lead capture forms and questionnaires collect client information |

Why pros pick Consultations
One AI conversation that qualifies, intakes, books, and briefs
An AI conversation, not a form
Instead of a static form or a calendar link, our AI talks with each lead in plain language, qualifies them against your criteria, and asks for exactly what you need to know.
The whole front door in one place
Qualify, intake, collect documents, book the paid appointment, and produce a prepped brief, all in a single conversation, so you stop stitching tools together.
You walk in prepared
Every booked meeting comes with a clean brief of who is coming and why, so you only take the right consultations and you are ready before the call starts.
What 17hats pricing means for online booking
The main price block on 17hats.com/pricing presents one all inclusive plan with different billing terms. Monthly is $60 a month. Yearly is $600 a year and carries a Save $120 label. Bi-Yearly is $800 for two years and carries a Save $400 label. Prices are in USD. These are payment terms for the headline plan, rather than separate feature tiers in that price block.
Online scheduling appears separately among the add-ons. Basic costs $5 a month and covers one service. Advanced costs $10 a month and adds pay upon booking and Zoom link creation. For a coach whose clients need an online booking with a Zoom link, the monthly calculation is $60 plus $10, or $70 a month and $840 a year. On the yearly plan, $600 plus $120 for Advanced scheduling is $720 a year before a promotion.
A current sale banner offers 50% off the first year when you skip the trial and buy now, showing yearly at $300 and bi-yearly at $400. That promotion may end. Treat the sale price separately from your ongoing budget, and confirm how the first-year offer applies to the two-year term and to add-ons before paying. The banner does not make scheduling part of the base plan.
- Budget for the scheduling level your sessions require
- Keep regular billing terms separate from the current promotion
- Confirm the renewal amount and add-ons before purchase
Confirm the limits behind the headline plan
The feature grid below the price block still shows three columns associated with the older Essentials, Standard and Premier tiers. Its descriptions refer to Essentials for businesses starting out and Standard for businesses growing but not automating. That is difficult to reconcile with the single headline plan above it. We do not assume the $60 subscription automatically inherits every feature from the top column.
Across those columns, Lead Capture Forms are listed as 1, 3 and 20. Documents per month are 20, 35 and unlimited, with an option to add 25 documents for $10 in the middle column. If/Then logic in questionnaires and advanced workflows appear only in the top column. A consultant relying on conditional questions or a busy document workflow should get written confirmation of which limits apply to the current plan.
Other add-ons can affect the total too. Bank connection is $5 a month, recurring billing $10, time tracking $5 and QuickBooks Online $5. The page includes 3 users and 2 brands, then charges $5 a month for each additional user and $10 for each additional brand. Third-party directories still display outdated tier prices. We do not restate those figures because they do not resolve the conflict on the vendor page.
- Ask which form and document limits apply to the $60 plan
- Confirm conditional questionnaires and advanced workflow access
- Request a written total that includes your users, brands and add-ons
Where 17hats remains the better fit
17hats covers work that continues after a discovery call. Quotes establish the proposed work, contracts collect an e-signature, invoices request payment and Stripe or Square handles online payments. A client portal keeps a place for client activity. If your consulting business needs that back office together, comparing the $60 base subscription with an intake-only product would miss most of what you are buying.
Its intake tools also deserve a fair look. Questionnaires evaluate leads, lead capture forms can send an auto-responder, and a completed lead form can trigger to-do workflows. Zapier, a mobile app and newer SMS texting support other parts of client administration. The Knot and WeddingWire integration reflects its appeal to wedding and creative businesses as well as consultants. Those features may matter if your services overlap with creative projects.
Keep 17hats on the shortlist when a signed agreement and an invoice are central to each engagement. Test the lead questionnaire, contract and invoice as a complete client journey. Confirm the workflow limits first, then ask whether the remaining friction is inside that back office or before the call. Consultations is relevant to the latter problem and does not provide replacement contracts, proposals, invoicing or payments.
- Choose the suite for quotes, contracts, invoices and back office work
- Evaluate existing lead forms before replacing them
- Keep a working billing process when changing intake
How the main 17hats alternatives compare
For 17hats vs HoneyBook, compare the plan that actually includes scheduling. HoneyBook Starter is $29 a month billed yearly and has no Scheduler. Essentials adds it at $49 a month billed yearly or $59 monthly. Premium is $109 a month billed yearly or $129 monthly. Client payment fees also belong in the decision, with card fees from 2.7% plus 10 cents and ACH at 1.5%. Compare those separately from subscription prices.
For 17hats vs Dubsado, the relevant booking plan is Premier at $525 a year. Starter is $335 a year, has no scheduling and includes 1 lead capture form. Premier includes scheduling and unlimited forms. Dubsado publishes no monthly price in the pricing facts checked for this comparison. Do not convert the annual amount into a supposed monthly purchase option when budgeting for the commitment.
Paperbell keeps the subscription decision simpler with one plan at $97 a month or $970 a year, scheduling included and no transaction fees of its own. Consultations Solo is $49 a month or $288 a year with AI intake and booking. Paperbell also bundles contract signing, payments, a client portal and a video call integration, so for a solo coach it covers more of the 17hats job in one price. These prices answer different needs: Paperbell replaces the suite, Consultations replaces the front door.
- HoneyBook booking starts on Essentials rather than Starter
- Dubsado booking starts on Premier rather than Starter
- Paperbell includes scheduling in its single plan
- Consultations includes qualification and booking without billing tools
Choose how prospects qualify before they book
A booking feature solves the calendar step. It does not by itself tell you whether the person wants a service you offer or is ready for your process. Start with your actual screening questions. A coach might ask about the goal, the kind of support requested and the intended timeline. A consultant might ask about scope, budget and who will make the decision. Those are criteria to define, rather than assumptions software should make for you.
17hats provides questionnaires that evaluate leads and lead forms that can start workflows. Those are useful when you want structured answers followed by a defined task sequence. Confirm the conditional logic available under the current plan before designing a branching questionnaire. If your existing questionnaire already gets the information you need, a different subscription is not automatically an improvement.
Consultations offers a conversational intake path. The AI asks your qualifying questions, follows up when an answer is vague and scores against the rules you set. Qualified prospects can book into the calendar you already use, and you receive a short brief. Test whether the conversation captures enough context to prepare for a call. Judge the result by the relevance of the answers and the booking experience, without expecting it to create an agreement or collect payment.
- Write down the criteria that make a prospect a fit
- Test vague answers as well as clear requests
- Check the brief before deciding whether intake meets your needs
Keep the back office and change the intake step
You can evaluate Consultations while keeping 17hats for ongoing client administration. The website conversation handles intake, qualification and booking. Your team then uses the brief to continue its established process for quotes, contracts and invoices. Plan that handoff explicitly. Keeping both subscriptions makes sense only if each has a job you need, and the intake purchase is an additional cost when you retain the full back office.
Replacing the lead form and booking link is a narrower decision than replacing the suite. List every place a prospect can enter, including the website, email and chat intake. Decide which questions belong before scheduling and which details belong after a client agrees to work with you. Then check that a booked prospect reaches your existing administrative process with enough context. Do not assume a native connection to 17hats that this comparison does not establish.
For a solo practice, Consultations Solo includes 1 professional, 1 connected calendar, AI intake plus booking, qualification rules, a prepped brief, and email and chat intake. It costs $49 a month or $288 a year. Start with the interactive demo to see the conversation, then Get started when that workflow fits. Consultations has paid plans only and does not offer a free plan.
- Retain the system that sends your agreements and invoices
- Define how the intake brief reaches your existing process
- Compare the combined subscription cost before adding another tool

17hats and its competitors compared by booking cost
Paid entry prices and the cheapest plan that lets a client book online are separate columns, because on three of these tools they are not the same plan. 17hats was read on 23 October 2026, HoneyBook and Dubsado on 15 October, Paperbell on 13 October and our own plans on 23 October. All figures are in USD.
| Product | Paid entry price | Cheapest online booking option | Contracts and invoicing | Multi-user |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 17hats | $60 a month, $600 a year or $800 for two years | $65 a month with Basic scheduling for one service, $70 with Advanced (pay at booking, Zoom links) | E-signature contracts, quotes and invoices | 3 users included; $5 a month per additional user |
| HoneyBook | Starter at $29 a month billed yearly | Essentials at $49 a month billed yearly or $59 monthly | Proposals, contracts, invoices and payments on every plan | Up to 2 team members on Essentials; unlimited on Premium at $109 |
| Dubsado | Starter at $335 a year | Premier at $525 a year; no monthly price published | Contracts and invoices on both plans; public proposals and workflows on Premier | 3 additional users free, then $25 a month for users 4 to 10 |
| Paperbell | $97 a month or $970 a year | Included in its single plan | Contract signing, packages and payments included | One plan with unlimited clients and sessions |
| Consultations | Solo at $49 a month or $288 a year | Included with intake and qualification on Solo | Not included; no proposals or payment processing either | Solo is 1 professional; Practice covers up to 5 at $129 a month |
17hats also has a limited free CRM tier, described below. Its current first-year promotion may end, and the older feature grid needs written clarification. HoneyBook payment fees are separate; Paperbell adds no transaction fees of its own. Confirm current terms before buying.
