Docketwise Alternative and Docketwise Competitors for Immigration Firm Intake
US immigration firms look for a Docketwise alternative for a few reasons: the per user bill grows with every paralegal you hire, the lead management they wanted is on Pro rather than Basic, or prospective clients still wait for a call back before anyone knows whether the case fits. This page sets out what Docketwise publishes, read from its pricing page on 12 October 2026, where Docketwise is still the right buy, what realistic competitors print on their own sites, and when the problem costing you new clients is a smaller one.

In short
Docketwise prices per user. Read from its pricing page on 12 October 2026, Basic is $80 per user a month billed yearly ($90 monthly), Pro is $100 ($120 monthly) and Advanced is $120 ($140 monthly). CRM and lead management, website integration and text messaging start on Pro, so a three attorney firm pays $300 a month on the yearly plan before a single lead is screened. Docketwise lists no online booking for prospective clients. If the job you need done is answering, screening and booking each new website inquiry, Consultations does that from $49 a month, flat per firm.
Docketwise is immigration case management. Its strength is smart forms: one questionnaire fills many USCIS forms, clients answer in their own language, and the case, priority date tracking, document requests, client portal, calendaring and time tracking all sit in one place. Pro adds e-filing, e-signatures, a human resources portal for employer clients, CRM and lead management, texting and a QuickBooks integration. Consultations does one job at the front door. It talks to the prospective client the moment they reach your website, asks your screening questions in plain conversation, checks the answers against the case types you take, collects the documents and party names you need, and books the consultation on your calendar. It does not prepare forms or manage cases, and its price is flat per firm.

Why pros pick Consultations
One AI conversation that qualifies, intakes, books, and briefs
An AI conversation, not a form
Instead of a static form or a calendar link, our AI talks with each lead in plain language, qualifies them against your criteria, and asks for exactly what you need to know.
The whole front door in one place
Qualify, intake, collect documents, book the paid appointment, and produce a prepped brief, all in a single conversation, so you stop stitching tools together.
You walk in prepared
Every booked meeting comes with a clean brief of who is coming and why, so you only take the right consultations and you are ready before the call starts.
Why immigration firms look for a Docketwise alternative
Few firms leave Docketwise because the forms are weak. Smart forms that fill an I-130, I-485 and I-765 from one client questionnaire are the reason most of them bought it, and multilingual questionnaires save hours on every family case. The reasons people start comparing usually sit elsewhere.
The first is the per user bill. Docketwise charges per user on every plan, so an immigration practice that adds two paralegals for a busy H-1B season adds $160 to $280 a month even on Basic. The second is where lead management sits. The CRM, website integration, lead reminders and text messaging are listed under Pro, not Basic, so a firm that wants to track web inquiries moves every seat up by $20 a month on the yearly plan, or $30 on monthly billing.
The third reason decides revenue. A person researching a green card or a visa at 10 at night contacts three firms at once and books with the first one that answers. A lead record that waits for a paralegal in the morning is a record of a client who already signed somewhere else.
- Per user pricing on every plan, from $80 a month yearly
- CRM and lead management start on Pro, not Basic
- Monthly billing costs $10 to $20 more per user than yearly
- No online booking for prospective clients listed on the pricing page
- Web leads still wait for a staff member to call back
What each Docketwise plan includes, and what it leaves out
Basic, at $80 per user a month billed yearly or $90 monthly, carries the core: smart forms, case management, multilingual custom intakes and questionnaires, case and priority date tracking, a client portal with document requests, calendaring and time tracking, unlimited cloud storage and encryption. The comparison table on the same page also lists invoicing and trust accounting, a LawPay integration, workflows and reporting across the plans.
Pro, at $100 yearly or $120 monthly, adds e-filing, e-signatures, a human resources portal for employer petitions, CRM and lead management, custom attributes, text and bulk messaging, the QuickBooks integration and DocketWise IQ, its legal AI writing and document assistant. Advanced, at $120 yearly or $140 monthly, adds multiple branches, permission groups, multiple admins, priority support, tailored setup, free data migration on an annual plan and a 5GB file size limit.
What none of the three describes is the software holding the first conversation with someone who is not yet a client. The CRM records a lead and reminds staff to follow up. Answering the inquiry, asking which visa category or relief the person needs, deciding whether the firm takes it and putting a consultation on the calendar is still a person's job.
- Basic: smart forms, case tracking, client portal, questionnaires
- Pro: e-filing, e-signatures, HR portal, CRM and lead management, texting
- Advanced: branches, permission groups, priority support, free migration on annual
- Every plan priced per user, yearly or monthly
- Not described: software that screens and books a new lead itself
What lead intake costs on Docketwise compared with competitors
For a three person immigration firm, Docketwise Basic is $240 a month billed yearly. Getting lead management means Pro, $300 a month yearly or $360 monthly, which is $720 more a year than Basic on the yearly plan, for the same three people. A five person firm on Pro pays $500 a month yearly or $600 monthly.
General practice suites price similarly. MyCase Pro, which includes intake forms and a lead CRM, was $100 per user a month billed yearly when read on 5 October 2026, so $300 a month for three users. Clio publishes an entry price from $49 per user and sells its intake product, Clio Grow, on higher plans. Among dedicated immigration platforms, eImmigration prints $55 to $100 per user billed yearly, while LollyLaw and INSZoom print no price, so you need a quote to compare them.
Those prices are fair for a firm that works every case inside the system all day. The comparison only matters if lead intake was the reason for the upgrade. Consultations Practice, for up to five professionals, is $129 a month, and it holds the conversation and books the consultation instead of recording a lead for someone to call back.
- Docketwise Basic, 3 users: $240 a month billed yearly
- Docketwise Pro, 3 users: $300 a month yearly, $360 monthly
- Docketwise Pro, 5 users: $500 a month yearly, $600 monthly
- MyCase Pro, 3 users: $300 a month billed yearly
- Consultations Practice, up to five professionals: $129 a month
Where Docketwise is still the better buy
If you file a high volume of family and employment based petitions, Docketwise is hard to beat on the form work. Reverse autofill, combined questionnaires, multilingual client intake, priority date tracking and USCIS case status tracking are built for immigration and for nothing else. General practice suites do not come close on that.
It also suits a firm whose staff answer every new inquiry within minutes during the day and rarely get leads after hours. That practice may need nothing at the front door, and keeping forms, cases, documents and billing in one system once the client signs is worth the per user price.
So this page does not argue that you should leave Docketwise. It argues that you should know lead management sits on Pro, that the bill scales with every user, and whether the job costing you new clients is one you can fix without a migration.
- High volume family based petitions and adjustment of status
- Employment based practices that use the HR portal with employer clients
- Firms whose clients need questionnaires in their own language
- Practices that want USCIS case status tracking in the same system
- Staff who already return every new inquiry within minutes
Docketwise competitors, by the job you are replacing
If you want different immigration case management, the names firms compare are LollyLaw, INSZoom from Mitratech, eImmigration from Cerenade, with Clio as the general suite many compare. eImmigration prints its prices: read on 13 October 2026, Starter is $55, Essentials $82 and Complete $100 per user a month billed yearly, with a lead pipeline on every plan. LollyLaw's pricing address returns a missing page and its site asks for a demo, and INSZoom routes pricing through sales, so ask each for a written per user quote.
If you want a general practice suite with intake in the plan and a printed price, MyCase Pro at $100 per user billed yearly is the closest, and it is owned by the same parent company as Docketwise. PracticePanther Business was $89 per user yearly when read on 2 October 2026.
If the bottleneck is response time, or inquiries arrive after the office closes, the alternative is a different kind of product rather than different case management. That is the job Consultations does.
- Immigration specific with a printed price: eImmigration, $55 to $100 per user yearly
- Immigration specific, quote only: LollyLaw, INSZoom
- Printed price with lead CRM: MyCase Pro, $100 per user yearly
- Clio, from $49 per user, with Grow for intake on higher plans
- PracticePanther Business, $89 per user yearly
- The website conversation itself, at any hour: an AI intake agent from $49 a month
Running Consultations with Docketwise, or instead of Pro
The most common setup keeps Docketwise for forms and cases and puts Consultations at the front door of the website. The prospective client talks to the intake conversation, answers the screening questions your firm defines for each case type, names the people involved, uploads the documents you ask for and books a consultation if the matter fits. The completed intake exports, so your team creates the case and sends the Docketwise questionnaire after the consultation.
That setup can also let a small firm stay on Docketwise Basic. If the only reason to move up was lead tracking, three users stay at $240 a month yearly. Adding Consultations Solo, where one attorney takes the consultations, makes $289, under the $300 Pro costs; Practice, for a team that shares consultations, makes $369. Either way every inquiry is answered, screened and booked rather than logged for a call back.
Solo is $49 a month for one attorney. Practice, at $129 for up to five professionals, adds document collection during intake and qualification rules per practice area. Firm, at $299 for up to twenty, adds voice intake alongside chat and advanced integrations. All plans are flat per firm with no onboarding fee, and you can run the intake conversation at the top of this page now.
- Alongside Docketwise: web intake runs first, the record exports to your case
- Stay on Basic if lead tracking was the only reason for Pro
- Screening questions per case type, set by your firm
- Bookings land on your calendar with a brief for the attorney
- A printed price, flat per firm, no per user charge
