Neos, the personal injury case management platform from Assembly Software, starts at $109 per user a month billed yearly, and it is built for firms with 3 or more users, so the smallest Essentials account works out to $327 a month or $3,924 a year. Premium and Platinum carry no printed price; both say "Get in touch". That matters for intake, because the pieces that automate it (the dynamic intake questionnaire with required questions, automated lead emails and texts, and lead ROI dashboards) are marked as Platinum only.
Every Neos figure below comes from assemblysoftware.com/pricing, read on 29 September 2026. CasePeer figures come from its own pricing page, read on 22 September 2026. Vendors change prices without notice, so confirm with the vendor before you sign.
Neos pricing by tier
Assembly sells Neos in three tiers. Only the first one shows a number on the page, and the FAQ adds that actual pricing depends on the plan and billing cycle you choose, with a tailored quote for exact figures.
| Tier | Published price | What it adds | Intake features |
|---|---|---|---|
| Neos Essentials | $109 per user a month, billed yearly | Case management, document management, intake forms, standard reporting, email and calendar sync | Intake forms, intake CRM, lead tracking |
| Neos Premium | None shown. "Get in touch" | OCR, PDF editing, Bates stamping and redaction, custom dashboards, advanced workflows, priority support | Same as Essentials |
| NeosAI Platinum | None shown. "Get in touch" | NeosAI document generation, summarization and extraction, workflows and process automation, texting, case cost recovery, a dedicated CSM | Adds dynamic intake with required questions, automated lead emails and texts, lead ROI dashboards |
Directory sites list Premium at $139 and Platinum at $189 per user a month. Those figures are not on Assembly's page today, so treat them as a starting point for the conversation, not as a quote.
How much does Neos cost for a small personal injury firm?
For a three person firm on Essentials, Neos costs $327 a month, which is $3,924 a year paid annually. The math scales straight with headcount because pricing is per user: five users is $6,540 a year and ten users is $13,080. Assembly's FAQ says Neos is built for firms with 3 or more users and that a smaller practice will be routed to a different Assembly product, so a solo attorney cannot buy one seat of Neos.
Two costs sit outside that number. The first is migration. Assembly says its customer success manager owns the move end to end, including data mapping, document conversion and training, and that most migrations land in 60 to 90 days. The page does not print a fee for that work, so ask for it as its own line. The second is the tier you actually need, which is where intake comes in.
Which Neos tier includes intake automation?
Every tier includes intake forms, an intake CRM and lead tracking. That covers capturing a lead and following it through the pipeline. The pieces that do the work without a person, dynamic intake forms with required questions, automated lead emails and texts, SMS and email automation, and lead ROI dashboards, are marked Not Included on Essentials and Premium and Included on Platinum only.
This is the same pattern we keep finding across legal software pricing pages: the advertised tier is rarely the one with the feature you came for. On CasePeer's pricing, client intake starts on Pro, not Basic. On Neos, automated intake starts on the tier with no price. So a firm shopping Neos for intake is not comparing $109. It is comparing a Platinum quote.
Neos vs CasePeer pricing
CasePeer is the closest personal injury platform that prints every price. Read on 22 September 2026 it charges $90, $130 and $160 per user a month, with no long term contract or setup fee, and client intake starts on the $130 Pro tier.
| Firm size | Neos Essentials, billed yearly | CasePeer Pro, monthly list | Consultations intake, flat per firm |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 users | $327 a month ($3,924 a year) | $390 a month | $129 a month (Practice, up to 5) |
| 5 users | $545 a month ($6,540 a year) | $650 a month | $129 a month (Practice, up to 5) |
| 10 users | $1,090 a month ($13,080 a year) | $1,300 a month | $299 a month (Firm, up to 20) |
On the published numbers, Neos Essentials is cheaper per seat than CasePeer Pro. The honest caveat is the one above: Essentials does not include the automated intake that CasePeer Pro's intake tools are being compared against, and Neos bills annually while CasePeer quotes a monthly list price. The last column is a different kind of product, not a case management system, and we explain below why firms price it next to these two.
What the Neos quote should spell out
Because two of three tiers carry no number, the written quote is where the real price lives. Get these five answers on paper before you sign:
- The per user price for the tier you are buying, and whether it assumes annual or monthly billing.
- Whether Platinum is required for the intake features you listed as must haves, and what Premium costs if it is not.
- The migration fee, if any, and what happens to the 60 to 90 day timeline if your data is messy.
- Whether texting and the dialer integrations carry usage charges on top of the seat price.
- What the Demands Plus early access feature, listed as requiring NeosAI Platinum, will cost once it leaves early access.
If your paralegals still key medical provider bills and expert invoices into the case cost ledger by hand, ask too whether Neos case cost recovery covers that on your tier, or whether a separate tool for pulling line items out of vendor invoices would get the same result for less.
Is Neos worth it for a personal injury firm?
For a personal injury firm with three or more staff that wants one system for cases, documents, medical records, costs and settlements, Neos is a serious option, and its Essentials price is lower per seat than CasePeer's intake tier. It is built only for personal injury rather than adapted from a general practice tool, and US based phone support runs weekdays from 8:30am to 5:30pm Eastern.
It is a weaker fit in two cases. A solo attorney cannot buy it at all. And a firm whose real problem is lost leads, inquiries that arrive at 9pm and have signed with another firm by morning, would be buying a whole case platform, and possibly its top tier, to fix one step. Other quote only platforms follow the same shape; see our SmartAdvocate pricing breakdown and the Litify alternative comparison for how they handle intake and price. If you are already weighing what to use instead, our Neos alternative comparison for personal injury firms sets Neos against CasePeer, Filevine, Litify and SmartAdvocate on published prices.
The cheaper way to automate personal injury intake
Most personal injury firms do not lose cases inside their case management system. They lose them before the case exists, in the gap between a website inquiry and the first call back. Industry studies of web leads keep landing on the same finding: the firm that responds first usually signs the client, and every hour of delay costs conversions. Our speed to lead software page covers the numbers in detail.
Consultations does that one job. It runs the intake conversation on your website the moment someone arrives, asks your screening questions (date of the accident, injuries and treatment so far, liability facts, insurance, whether another firm is already involved), collects photos or a police report, flags the matters that fall outside what you take, and books the consultation onto an attorney's calendar. The attorney gets a structured brief before the call. The completed intake exports to Neos, CasePeer or whatever system you keep, where your team takes over.
Pricing is flat per firm, not per user: Solo is $49 a month, Practice $129 for up to five professionals and Firm $299 for up to twenty. Pay monthly with no annual term, or once a year at half the monthly price. You can try the intake conversation at the top of this page now and see what a prospective client would see.
Neos pricing questions buyers ask
How much does Neos cost per user?
Neos Essentials is $109 per user a month billed yearly, read from Assembly's pricing page on 29 September 2026. Premium and Platinum show no price and require a quote. Neos is built for firms with 3 or more users, so the smallest Essentials account is $327 a month, or $3,924 a year.
Does Neos have a free trial?
Assembly's pricing page does not describe a free trial. The path it offers is a consultation, where a specialist walks through your firm's setup, workflow and case types before a tailored quote. Ask during that call whether a sandbox or pilot period is available before you commit to an annual term.
Is Neos cheaper than CasePeer?
Per seat, yes, on the published numbers: Neos Essentials is $109 per user billed yearly against CasePeer Pro at $130 per user a month. But Neos Essentials lacks the automated intake features that Neos keeps for Platinum, which has no printed price, so compare the tiers that include the intake work you need.
