LEAP Legal Software does not publish a US price. Its US pricing page offers a single subscription behind a Request pricing form, says a one time implementation fee may apply for installation, data migration and onboarding, and warns that some third party integrations need their own subscription. So the real cost of LEAP for a small firm is a quote, plus setup, plus whatever you add for new client intake, which the subscription page does not list. Below is what LEAP does publish, what it leaves out, and what similar firms pay for the competitors that print a number.

LEAP figures and quotes come from its US pricing page and homepage, read on 9 October 2026, and its UK pricing page, read the same day. Smokeball and Lawmatics were read on 8 October, CosmoLex on 7 October, MyCase on 5 October and PracticePanther on 2 October 2026. We sell one of the tools mentioned here, so weigh our view with that in mind. Vendors change prices without notice, so confirm with each vendor before you sign.

LEAP legal software pricing in the US, as published

The headline on LEAP's US pricing page reads One Platform, One Price, Incredible Value, and the copy underneath promises a subscription without complicated pricing structures or surprise costs. What it does not show is the price. Every call to action on the page, Request pricing, Get pricing and the form at the bottom, routes you to the sales team, which promises clear pricing specific to your firm's needs.

Three cost lines are stated in writing, and they are the ones to put in your budget:

Cost lineWhat LEAP's US page saysWhat to ask for in the quote
SubscriptionOne subscription, price on requestThe per user or per firm monthly figure, and whether it changes with annual billing
ImplementationA one time fee may apply for installation, data migration and onboardingThe exact fee, and what it covers for your data volume
Third party integrationsSome may require a separate subscriptionWhich of the integrations you need carry their own bill
ContractNot stated on the pageTerm length, auto renewal and the notice period to cancel

The UK and Irish pricing pages follow the same pattern. We checked the UK page on the same day and it prints no figure either, so there is no published LEAP price anywhere to anchor a US estimate.

Why directory prices for LEAP do not match the vendor

Search for LEAP's cost and you will see a $49 per user per month figure on US software directories, and cost estimator sites that list implementation at hundreds of dollars per user. None of those numbers appear on LEAP's own US or UK pricing page. Some may come from older listings or from a different country, and the estimator figures are generic ranges for the category. Treat them as a reason to ask, not a number to budget.

This is a pattern across quote only legal software. In the last two months we have documented the same gap on Smokeball, which briefly showed a From $149 figure in August 2026 and removed it within a week, and on CosmoLex, where a directory listed two add-ons as plans. If a number is not on the vendor page, it is not a price you can hold the vendor to.

What the LEAP subscription includes

LEAP lists the subscription as one system for case management, document automation, legal accounting and billing, working alongside your Microsoft 365 subscription. The pricing page names these inclusions:

  • a library of automated forms and templates
  • legal AI tools
  • automatic timekeeping
  • unlimited document storage
  • remote and mobile app access

Elsewhere on the site LEAP describes trust accounting for IOLTA, online payments, reporting, and a WealthCounsel connection for estate planning drafting and trust administration. It says it is hosted on AWS with SOC 2 Type 2 certification, and that it migrates data from Clio, MyCase, PracticePanther, PCLaw, Time Matters, Actionstep, Rocket Matter, Filevine, CosmoLex and Firm Central. Integrations listed on the homepage include Microsoft 365, QuickBooks Online, Xero, InfoTrack, LawToolBox, LawConnect, Zapier, Lawmatics and WealthCounsel.

What LEAP pricing leaves out, and why it matters for intake

Nothing on the US pricing page covers the step before a matter exists: capturing a web inquiry, screening it and booking a consultation. LEAP's homepage describes keeping matters moving from intake through invoice, which is accurate once a client has signed. The subscription list names no lead capture form, no online booking for prospective clients and no lead pipeline.

The integration list tells you how LEAP firms usually fill that gap. Lawmatics, an intake and marketing CRM, appears among LEAP's integrations. Lawmatics also publishes no price. Read on 8 October 2026, every tier carries a Get a demo button, and Essential and Premium require at least three users, Enterprise at least five. So a LEAP firm that wants automated intake is pricing two quote only products, with two contracts and possibly two setup fees.

If what you are actually trying to fix is the inquiry that arrives at 9 at night and signs with the firm that answers first, there is a cheaper and faster route. Our LEAP alternative comparison sets out where an intake layer sits next to LEAP and where a full switch makes more sense.

What comparable firms pay for LEAP competitors that print a price

Because LEAP shows no figure, the useful benchmark is the competitors that do. Here is a three person firm on each, using the plan where intake features appear:

Product and planPublished price3 users, per monthIntake on this plan
LEAP (US)None, Request pricingQuote, plus possible implementation feeNo lead intake or booking listed
PracticePanther Business$89 per user, billed yearly$267Intake forms, texting, eSignature
MyCase Pro$100 per user, billed yearly$300Intake forms and lead CRM
CosmoLex Pro$129 per user yearly, $139 monthly$387Intake automation and online scheduling
Smokeball Prosper+None, Get pricingQuoteIntake included on the top plan
Consultations Practice$129 per firm, or $768 a year$129 for up to 5 peopleAI conversation screens and books every web inquiry

The practice suites are fair value if your firm uses the whole system daily. If forms and documents are the reason you are looking at LEAP, compare it with Smokeball, its closest match on templates, and read what Smokeball costs once intake is included. If built in accounting matters more, CosmoLex pricing per user is the one competitor here that prints online scheduling on a named plan.

How to get a LEAP quote you can compare

A quote from a vendor that does not publish prices is only useful if it is complete. Ask for these in writing before the demo ends:

  1. The monthly subscription figure for your exact user count, monthly and annual.
  2. The implementation fee, with a line for data migration from your current system.
  3. Which integrations you plan to use carry a separate subscription, and their prices.
  4. The contract term, the auto renewal clause and the cancellation notice period.
  5. What LEAP itself does for web leads and online booking, and whether that requires Lawmatics or another add-on.

Once signed, put the notice date somewhere it will not be missed. If your firm keeps vendor agreements in a contract management tool, log the renewal deadline the day the quote turns into a contract, because quote only software rarely reminds you before it renews.

When a separate intake tool beats a bigger LEAP quote

Keep LEAP, or buy it, if your work lives in automated forms, estate planning drafting through WealthCounsel or real estate closing tools. Those are its strengths and few general suites match them.

But if the gap you found while pricing LEAP is the front door, a second quote only CRM is not the only answer. Consultations runs the intake conversation on your website at any hour, asks your screening questions, records every party name your conflict check needs, collects documents and books the consultation, then exports the record so your team opens the matter in LEAP as usual. Solo is $49 a month for one attorney, Practice is $129 for up to five professionals and Firm is $299 for up to twenty, flat per firm, with no onboarding fee. You can try the intake conversation at the top of this page right now, and the full plans are on the pricing page.

Frequently asked questions about LEAP pricing

How much does LEAP legal software cost?

LEAP does not publish a monthly price in the US. Its pricing page, read on 9 October 2026, offers one subscription with a Request pricing form and says a one time implementation fee may apply. Directory figures such as $49 per user per month are not on the vendor page, so ask for a written quote for your user count.

Does LEAP charge an implementation fee?

It may. LEAP's US pricing page says a one time implementation fee may apply to cover software installation, data migration and onboarding, typically including data transition from legacy systems, initial training sessions and firm specific template setup. The amount is not published, so request it as a separate line in your quote.

Is LEAP cheaper than Clio?

There is no way to tell from the published pages. Clio prints an entry price from $49 per user a month and sells Clio Grow for intake on higher plans, while LEAP prints no price at all. Get a written LEAP quote for your user count, add the implementation fee, and compare it with the Clio plan that includes the features you need.

Does LEAP include client intake?

Not for prospective clients, based on its pricing page. LEAP collects client details when a matter is opened, but its subscription list names no lead capture or online booking, and it lists Lawmatics, a separate intake CRM, among its integrations. Firms that want web leads screened and booked usually add a dedicated tool.
