CosmoLex costs $49 per user a month for Launch, $99 for Core and $129 for Pro on yearly billing, or $59, $109 and $139 billed monthly. Intake forms start on Core, but online scheduling and intake workflow automation are listed on Pro only, and the CosmoLex CRM is a separate add-on at $147 a month yearly ($177 monthly) for up to three users. So a firm that wants prospective clients to book online inside CosmoLex pays at least $129 per user a month. If the reason you are pricing intake is to stop losing website inquiries, Consultations screens and books them from $49 a month for the whole firm, and you can try it in the box above.
CosmoLex figures come from cosmolex.com/pricing, read on 7 October 2026, including the structured price data the page publishes for each plan and add-on. Rocket Matter was read on 6 October, MyCase on 5 October and PracticePanther on 2 October 2026. Clio blocks automated reads, so its figure is the entry price it published in August 2026. We sell one of the tools compared below, so weigh our placement with that in mind. Vendors change prices without notice, so confirm before you sign.
CosmoLex pricing by plan
CosmoLex, part of ProfitSolv (the same group that owns Rocket Matter), sells three practice management plans priced per user. Unlike many rivals, it prints both billing modes, and yearly billing saves $120 per user a year:
| Plan | Per user a month, billed yearly | Per user a month, billed monthly | Per user a year, yearly billing | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Launch | $49 | $59 | $588 | Time and billing, retainers, online payments, trust accounting, compliance reports, client portal |
| Core | $99 | $109 | $1,188 | LEDES and split billing, bank reconciliation, lead capture and intake, AI intake form builder |
| Pro | $129 | $139 | $1,548 | General ledger and payables, bank feeds, intake workflow automation, online scheduling, Open API |
The accounting is the reason most firms choose CosmoLex. Trust accounting, ledgers and compliance reporting sit on the entry plan, which is unusual. Bank reconciliation starts on Core, and the full general ledger, payables and automatic bank feeds arrive on Pro. A firm on Launch or Core that keeps its operating books in QuickBooks still has to get each month's transactions in by hand, and the quickest way is to convert the bank statement to QuickBooks rather than retype it.
There is a 10 day free trial with no credit card. The page says the trial has the same functionality as a paid subscription except that you are limited to one bank feed connection, and that the CRM and the LexShare and LexSign add-ons are not included in it.
How much is the CosmoLex CRM add-on?
CosmoLex lists four add-ons. Two have published prices:
| Add-on | Billed yearly | Billed monthly | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| CosmoLex CRM | $147 a month | $177 a month | Up to 3 users: marketing automation, client intake, logic based forms, workflows, email and text drip campaigns, e-signature |
| CosmoLex Websites | $149 a month | $159 a month | Law firm website with practice pages, SEO and hosting |
| CosmoLex Pay | Transaction based, quote on request | Card, debit and ACH payments with next day funding | |
| Google Ads management | No price shown | Paid search for the firm | |
Unlike the plans, the CRM is priced flat for a team of up to three, not per user. The page does not print a rate for a fourth user, so a larger intake team should ask sales before budgeting.
One warning about third party sources. Several pricing directories list CosmoLex plans at "$147" and "$177" per user, sometimes described as a price rise. On the vendor's own page, those two figures are the CRM add-on, yearly and monthly, for up to three users. The three plans are still $49, $99 and $129 on yearly billing.
What a small firm really pays for intake on CosmoLex
The plan you need depends on how far you want intake to go. Here is the arithmetic on yearly billing:
- Solo attorney with online booking: Pro at $129 a month, or $1,548 a year. Billed monthly, $139 a month, or $1,668 a year.
- Three person firm, intake forms only: Core at $297 a month, or $3,564 a year.
- Three person firm with online booking: Pro at $387 a month, or $4,644 a year.
- Three person firm with online booking and the CRM: $387 plus $147, so $534 a month, or $6,408 a year.
- Five person firm on Pro: $645 a month, or $7,740 a year, before the CRM or a website.
A firm on Launch that wants intake has to move every seat to Core, which is $50 more per user a month, and to Pro for online booking, $80 more per user. For five people the jump from Launch to Pro is $4,800 a year, even if only one person ever touches a new lead.
Is CosmoLex cheaper than Rocket Matter, MyCase or PracticePanther?
For accounting, CosmoLex is good value, because trust ledgers and compliance reporting come on the $49 entry plan. For intake with online booking, it sits at the top of the vendors that publish prices:
| Product and tier with intake | Per user a month, billed yearly | Extra for intake |
|---|---|---|
| CosmoLex Pro (forms, automation, online scheduling) | $129 | CRM add-on optional, $147 a month for 3 users |
| CosmoLex Core (forms only) | $99 | None |
| Rocket Matter Pro plus Core CRM | $134 | $399 onboarding, 3 user minimum |
| MyCase Pro | $100 | None listed |
| PracticePanther Business | $89 | None listed |
| Clio | From $49 entry; Grow on higher plans | Grow bundled or sold as an add-on |
| Consultations Practice (up to 5 people) | $64 a month for the whole firm on yearly billing | None |
Rocket Matter is the useful comparison because ProfitSolv owns both. Its Rocket Matter pricing puts intake forms in a per user CRM add-on with an onboarding fee, while CosmoLex puts forms in the Core plan and sells the CRM flat. For a three person firm that only wants forms, CosmoLex Core is cheaper. For one that wants online booking, the two land within a few dollars of each other per user.
Smokeball is the opposite case. It prints no price for any of its four plans and sells intake as an add-on below its top plan, so a firm weighing it against CosmoLex can only compare quotes. Our Smokeball alternatives page lines up the vendors that do publish, CosmoLex included.
We compare the full field, including where CosmoLex is the right buy, on our CosmoLex alternatives page. For every vendor's published figure in one place, see the legal software pricing guide.
What CosmoLex intake does not do
The CosmoLex intake tools are forms, a scheduler and, with the CRM, drip campaigns. They collect answers from a prospective client who is willing to fill them in, and they remind a lead who has gone quiet. None of them describes the software holding the first conversation: answering a visitor who lands on your site at 9 at night, asking your screening questions in the right order, deciding whether the matter fits and booking the consultation only when it does. Inside CosmoLex, that part is still a person's job.
That is the job Consultations does. It runs the intake conversation on your website at any hour, qualifies the inquiry against the matters you take, collects documents and the names of every party (which gives your conflict check clean input), and books the consultation on your calendar. The completed intake exports, so your team opens the matter in CosmoLex as usual, and a Launch or Core firm can book web leads without moving every seat to Pro.
Solo is $49 a month for one professional, Practice is $129 for up to five and Firm is $299 for up to twenty, all flat per firm with no onboarding fee. Paid yearly, those are $288, $768 and $1,788. CosmoLex pricing questions
How much does CosmoLex cost?
CosmoLex costs $49, $99 or $129 per user a month for Launch, Core and Pro on yearly billing, or $59, $109 and $139 billed monthly, according to its pricing page on 7 October 2026. The CRM add-on costs $147 a month yearly or $177 monthly for up to three users, and the Websites add-on $149 or $159.
Does CosmoLex have a monthly plan?
Yes. Every plan can be billed monthly at $10 more per user a month: $59 for Launch, $109 for Core and $139 for Pro. Yearly billing brings them to $49, $99 and $129, which the page describes as a saving of $120 per user a year. The CRM and Websites add-ons also have monthly rates.
Does CosmoLex have a CRM?
Yes, as a paid add-on called CosmoLex CRM. It covers marketing automation, client intake, contact management, logic based intake forms, automated workflows, email and text drip campaigns and e-signature, for up to three users. It costs $147 a month billed yearly or $177 billed monthly, and it is not part of the free trial.
Does CosmoLex have a free trial?
Yes. CosmoLex offers a 10 day free trial with no credit card required. The trial has the full practice management functionality except that it is limited to a single bank feed connection, and it does not include the CRM or the LexShare and LexSign add-ons.
Is CosmoLex worth it for a small law firm?
It is worth it if trust accounting is where your practice carries risk, because ledgers and compliance reporting come on the $49 plan and Pro replaces a separate bookkeeping system. It is harder to justify if intake was the reason you were shopping, because online booking needs Pro at $129 per user, against $49 to $129 a month for the whole firm on tools built for intake.
