CasePeer and MyCase are both sold by 8am, and for a personal injury firm the price gap between them is smaller than most people expect: $10 per user a month at the tier that includes intake. Read on 1 October 2026, CasePeer charges $90, $130 and $160 per user a month, billed monthly. MyCase charges $60, $120 and $150 billed monthly, or $50, $100 and $130 per user a month if you pay for the year upfront. Intake starts on the middle tier of both, so the real comparison is CasePeer Pro at $130 against MyCase Pro at $120, or $100 billed yearly. What decides it is not the $10. It is whether you need personal injury case depth, and which add-ons each one charges for.

CasePeer figures come from casepeer.com/pricing and MyCase figures from mycase.com/pricing, both read on 1 October 2026. Where a vendor shows no number, we say so rather than estimate one.

Same parent, different products

CasePeer joined MyCase in March 2021, and both now sit under 8am, the company formerly called AffiniPay that also owns LawPay. Both pricing pages carry the 8am name, both include 8am IQ writing assistance from Pro, and both connect to LawPay for payments. That shared ownership is why people search for the two together, and why a sales rep from either may suggest the other. 8am also owns Docketwise, the immigration platform, which follows the same pattern of putting lead management on its middle tier; our Docketwise alternative page prices that out.

They are still separate products with separate price lists. CasePeer was built for plaintiff work: medical treatment and injury tracking, lien and letter of protection tracking, a settlement calculator, automated statute alerts, case expense tracking and client trust tracking are on every tier, starting with Basic. MyCase is general practice software. It handles cases, contacts, time entry, billing, documents and a client portal well, but it does not ship medical treatment tracking, lien tracking or a settlement calculator, because most of its customers do not need them.

The same family has a third product for immigration practices. If that is your practice area, Docketwise vs MyCase pricing runs the same per user comparison for those two.

What each tier actually buys a personal injury firm

CasePeer Basic, $90. Full personal injury case management with no intake module. Lead tracking, case source tracking, intake forms and the intake portal are not on this tier. CasePeer Pro, $130. Adds client intake management, intake forms, the intake portal, unlimited two way texting that accepts images, case stage screens, over 50 additional reports and more than 20 integrations. CasePeer Advanced, $160. Adds scheduled texts, data sync for reporting, a multi office reporting suite, an intake investigator portal, case grades and API access.

MyCase Basic, $60 or $50. Case and contact management, time entry, unlimited document storage and a limited client portal. MyCase Pro, $120 or $100. Adds client intake forms and a legal CRM, unlimited e-signature and document generation, automated workflows, two way texting, chat and call log, premium billing and more than 70 integrations. MyCase Advanced, $150 or $130. Adds the 8am IQ case assistant, a discovery assistant with OCR, advanced document automation, conflict check tracking, split billing and an open API. MyCase Accounting is a separate $39 per user a month.

Two details change the math. First, CasePeer lists e-signature as an add-on on all three tiers, while MyCase includes it unlimited from Pro, and a personal injury firm sends a contingency fee agreement on every signed case. Price that add-on before you compare. Second, MyCase only reaches its lower figures when you pay for the year upfront. Month to month, the Pro gap is $10 per user.

CasePeer vs MyCase cost by firm size

Here is the cheapest tier with intake on each, at typical personal injury headcounts. CasePeer shows only monthly pricing, so its yearly figure is twelve months of the monthly rate.

Active usersCasePeer Pro, yearlyMyCase Pro, monthly billing, yearlyMyCase Pro, billed yearly
3$4,680$4,320$3,600
5$7,800$7,200$6,000
10$15,600$14,400$12,000
20$31,200$28,800$24,000

A ten person firm saves $1,200 a year on MyCase Pro billed monthly, or $3,600 if it commits to the year. That is real money, but the CasePeer features MyCase lacks (treatment tracking, liens, settlement figures) are the ones a plaintiff paralegal uses every day. A firm that does only personal injury usually earns the difference back in staff time. A firm that does personal injury alongside family law, estate planning or criminal defense usually does better on MyCase, because it is paying for one system that fits every matter. If MyCase is the system you already pay for and the per user Pro upgrade is what stings, our MyCase alternatives comparison prices every realistic competitor by the plan that runs intake.

Prices moved in September, so check any figure you saw earlier

On 3 September 2026 CasePeer listed $79, $119 and $149 per user a month. By 22 September the same tiers were $90, $130 and $160, and they were unchanged when we read the page again on 1 October. MyCase did not move: its $60, $120 and $150 monthly rates and $50, $100 and $130 annual rates match what it listed in August.

Directory comparisons have not caught up. Several still say CasePeer starts at $79, and CasePeer's own pricing page carries older $39, $79 and $99 figures in hidden structured data that some sites appear to scrape. The visible prices on the vendor page are the ones you will be billed.

What neither plan does on its own

Both Pro tiers give a trained person a structured place to enter intake answers: forms, a CRM pipeline, texting. Neither one holds the first conversation with the person who fills in your website form at 10 at night after a collision. CasePeer's own integration list includes Apex Chat, Ngage Live Chat and Captorra, which is how most CasePeer firms cover that gap, through another vendor or through staff calling back in the morning.

That front door conversation is the part we build. Consultations runs intake on your website at any hour: it asks the screening questions your firm defines (date of the incident, treatment so far, liability, insurance, whether another firm is involved), checks the answers against your criteria, collects photos or a police report on the Practice plan, and books the consultation, then hands the attorney a structured brief. The completed intake exports into CasePeer or MyCase, so the case system stays the same. Our CasePeer alternative comparison sets out where each personal injury platform fits and what each one publishes, and the full tier breakdowns are in our CasePeer pricing and MyCase pricing pages.

Our price is flat per firm, not per seat. Solo is $49 a month for one attorney. Practice is $129 for up to five professionals and adds document collection during intake. Firm is $299 for up to twenty and adds voice intake and advanced integrations. Pay monthly with no annual term, or yearly at half the monthly price. That is why a Basic firm can screen and book web leads without moving every seat to Pro for intake alone: five Pro upgrades cost $200 a month on CasePeer, against $129 for the whole Practice plan. See why minutes matter in our guide to speed to lead for law firms.

Whichever case system you choose, the case expense ledger fills up fast with filing fees, records requests and medical bill copies. If your paralegals still type those in by hand, you can pull the totals off each receipt automatically and paste clean rows into the expense screen instead.

Frequently asked questions

Is CasePeer more expensive than MyCase?

Yes, slightly. Read on 1 October 2026, CasePeer Pro is $130 per user a month and MyCase Pro is $120 billed monthly or $100 billed yearly. Across the three tiers CasePeer costs $10 to $30 more per user than MyCase billed monthly, and $30 to $40 more than MyCase billed yearly. The difference buys personal injury features MyCase does not include, such as treatment, lien and settlement tracking.

Which is better for a personal injury law firm, CasePeer or MyCase?

For a firm that handles only personal injury, CasePeer, because treatment tracking, liens, a settlement calculator and statute alerts are built in from Basic. For a firm that does personal injury alongside other practice areas, MyCase usually fits better, since it costs less per seat and handles every matter type in one system.

Does CasePeer have a free trial?

CasePeer's pricing page offers a demo on every tier rather than a self serve trial, and states there is no long term contract or setup fee. MyCase offers a free trial with full access and no credit card required. Data migration is listed as optional on CasePeer, so ask for its cost in writing.

Do CasePeer and MyCase include e-signature?

MyCase includes unlimited e-signature from Pro at $120 per user a month. CasePeer lists e-signature as an add-on on Basic, Pro and Advanced, so a personal injury firm sending a contingency fee agreement on every case should add that cost to the CasePeer figure before comparing.
